Valencia A. McClure, president of McClure Communications, has over 15 years experience in corporate PR, community affairs, special events, media relations and employee communications. McClure’s experience has been in corporate America, major daily newspaper, broadcast TV and the cable TV industry.
McClure has experience in working with several major non-profit organizations throughout the Dallas area and the state of Texas. Her PR experience covers working on major product launches throughout the Southwest area, grant donation press conferences, handling PR for the National Conference of Black Mayors in Dallas 2000 and developing an African American Lecture Series in the city of Dallas.
McClure is actively involved in the Dallas community. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Dallas Alumni and the Dallas Theater Center. She is also a member of the Junior League of Dallas. She was the recipient of the 2003 Urban League Guild of Dallas 21st Century Most Promising Leader and the 2002 recipient for the Outstanding African American Alumni Award from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She previously served on the board of Directors for Bryan’s House, Dallas Children’s Theater and the Leadership Dallas Alumni Association. Additionally, McClure served on the steering committee of the National Conference of Black Mayors Dallas 2000 and is a graduate of Leadership Dallas.
